PROJECT DESCRIPTION
As a leading concrete floor coating specialist, Armour Restoration was contacted to lead the preparation and application of urethane floor coatings for the new Canadian Nordstrom department stores. The engineer and architects specified a high quality, urethane coating product by Pecora. The urethane floor coating was applied in the mechanical rooms to create a waterproof concrete floor system to protect against potential flooding and as a protective coating for the concrete.
ACTION PLAN
- We prepared the concrete surfaces by resurfacing, patching, diamond grinding, and cleaning.
- Our team applied a urethane sealant around all cove walls for a 5” upturn and all open junctions and drains.
- We applied a concrete primer, waterproofing base coat, and traffic top coat.
- We finished the surface with a broadcasting of Silica aggregate for a non-slip coating.
