PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A large underground parking garage beneath two large, 14-storey Mississauga condominium buildings experienced water leaking through concrete ceiling and walls after rain storms. After investigating the parking garage, Armour Restoration found major cracks in the concrete, soffit, and walls, which were contributing factors to the water penetration and damage. Given the situation, we recommended Kryton, a crystalline waterproofing technology. In the right circumstances, concrete crystalline works as an excellent barrier to water penetration and even can work on active leaks.
ACTION PLAN
- We began by notifying management and tenants and coordinated the moving of vehicles.
- Our team prepared the site by raising safety barriers and chipping out and cleaning the cracks for Kryton application.
- We applied the waterproofing membrane in a four-stage process to repair and stop leaks.
- Once the work was done we conducted the teardown and clean-up of the site.
