PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Water was penetrating through windows and flashing during rainfall, leaking into the management offices of the building. After we inspected the premises, we set up a Bosun chair and conducted drops around the building to determine the source of water entry.
We found a building restoration issue common to many Toronto office buildings. The Butyl sealant and the perimeter sealant were both deteriorated, and the weeping holes in the window frames were blocked and misaligned. There were also multiple cracks in the mortar lines.
ACTION PLAN
- Armour Restoration began by removing all existing polyurethane sealant and replacing it with a high-grade silicone sealant with a 20-year warranty.
- Our team inspected, cleaned, and replaced the weeping holes and screens.
- We finished by sanding, priming, and painting all of the mental lintels, as well as rout-ing and sealing the masonry cracks.
